When simmered with milk, the chocolate dissolves into a thick, creamy, rich treat. It tastes like a complex milk chocolate, with rich, almost spicy notes—like a great bar of European chocolate—and the fat from the ground chocolate gives the drinking chocolate a silky-smooth mouthfeel.
