La Despensa de Palacio is a bakery and chocolate factory that handcrafted numerous traditional sweets, chocolates, cookies and waffles. The recipes we use take their origin in the family pastry tradition that dates back to the year 1743. The product is made with ingredients from the most select origins and is packed in boxes and cases that make a difference and are recognized as unique and exceptional in various international competitions.

La Despensa de Palacio founder Antonio Rivero’s ancestors were the bakers of the Marquess of Estepa in 1743. Not long after, they began managing “la despensa de palacio,” or the palace pantry. When the Marquess’ court moved from Seville to Madrid, Rivero’s relatives kept the nobleman’s oven, which was used for years to bake mantecados, or Spanish crumble cakes, for nearby villagers.
