The Pago de Carraovejas Crianza 2011 is a red wine made from 93% Tempranillo, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Merlot grapes, from the Pago de Carraovejas Estate vineyards. The wine has been aged during 12 months in French and American oak barrels (new and 1 year use) and has been fined with natural egg whites.
Try it with suckling pig (in honour of José María’s, Pago de Carraovejas owner, famous dish: Cochinillo de Segovia), red and white meats, game, poultry, oven-roasted fishes, pâtés and foie, cured chesses or just simply alone (it is a wonderful wine that does not need food to shine on).
