The original production was started over 200 years ago by an order of nuns at the estate in Andalucía (Spain), from trees more than a century old. These days it is run by the Gomez de Baeza family, and it holds some of the biggest names in the organic olive oil business amongst its shareholders; Jose Cano, Francisco Serrano, Cesar Colliga and Maximiliano Arteaga are all proud shareholders of LA ORGANIC along with world renowned oenologist Michel Rolland.
They produce oil from a small selection of organic olive groves, and process them in small batches in time honoured methods in mills close by to ensure the optimum quality of the olives is maintained. This obviously shows in the sleek design, and the recent recognition as one of the top 20 olive oils in the world according to the prestigious Italian ‘Flos Olei’ guide.
