Heno de Pravia is a wonderful brand which produces soaps and other personal care products. The brand has been around for over 100 years and is popular in Spain and outside Spain.
One day in 1903, Salvador Echeandia, one of Perfumeria Gal co-founders, passed through the small village of Pravia, in Northern Spain. At the time the local farmers were busy cutting hay and grass for livestock. He was blown away by the scent of freshly cut hay. From that moment he was obsessed by making a perfume with that scent.He loved the aroma so much that when he returned to Madrid he reproduced the fragrance of the fresh mown grass and blended it with geranium, lavender and a hint of sandalwood. He coloured the bar mossy green and wrapped it in yellow, the colour of heno when it dries.
