We bring the luxurious touch of 100% virgin wool into your interior. This throw is handmade with a design in beige, brown and gray stripes. This is a traditional woven "Maragata Blanket" made with pure virgin sheep "Merino" and "Ille de France" wool. This sofa or travel blanket is handmade, all processed in one place and by one family making this a truly sustainable and local product. This was all designed and made - even the fringe is twisted by hand one by one - by Gaspar's family. They always work with neutral colours that come originally from wool.

The well-known "Mantas Maragatas del Val" since time immemorial are blankets made of Pure Virgin Wool «Merino» and «Ille de France» with artisanal and traditional manufacture.
The wool is 100% pure sheep, and the manufacturing processes create a light fabric that retains heat, while being perfectly breathable. Textile crafts in Val de San Lorenzo in León has a long tradition. In the middle of the 18th century there were eighty-one cloth manufacturers in the town. Since the 17th century we have documentation about merchants who came to buy cloth in the Val, and without a doubt the blankets and covers created by the Maragato artisans in this town were the most prestigious among the entire society of the time. The main characteristic of these fabrics is the impressive degree of insulation of the sheep's wool (the only "hollow" fiber that exists), through a traditional process of obtaining and carding, thousands of natural "air chambers" are achieved to insulate the cold. |
