Vintage Maja Cologne Perfume Bottle and Soap Myrurgia Spain
Sorry this item is no longer available
Authentic Maja, made in Spain by Myrurgia. A vintage bottle of Maja cologne 50 ml size and 90 gr perfumed soap in it's original box. It is completely full and sealed, never used.
Myrurgia introduced Maja perfume in 1918 and it was inspired by the style of Sevilliana dancer Carmen Tórtola Valencia (1882-1955).
Maja is a warm, oriental spicy scent, and Myrurgia described it as "Todas las flores de España en un solo perfume” / "All the flowers of Spain in one perfume" on the original packaging. Among its many notes are orange blossom, jasmine, patchouli and amber.
Maja was eventually reformulated and rebranded. The graphics of this bottle date it to the 1930's or 1940's, so this is the original scent. Glass oval shaped bottle with metallic cap and soap are new and the box is in good condition with just some minor creasing and shelf wear.

The very name Maja means “beautiful woman” and for those who wished to exude the allure of an exotic beauty, Maja was certainly a fragrance that answered that wish. The distinctive label of Maja’s perfumes and soap boxes were directly inspired by the dancing of Tórtola Valencia and her lovely figure.
